Wellbeing at Work:

As a coach and mental health nurse, I am well-placed to provide mental health and wellbeing support within the workplace. I specialise in providing efficient, targeted help which provides solutions for both the individual and the employer.

Within the workplace, the support I offer is provided through a coaching framework in 3 main ways:

  • 1. One-to-one:

    I provide help for employers who might want to support individual employees with their mental health, or I can work with self-referring employees who feel they need some assistance with their mental health and wellbeing.  Previously I have helped individuals manage their stress at work, provided anxiety management and taught individuals mindfulness techniques.

    I also offer a single, one-off, targeted coaching sessions.  The current Booster Session for Workplace Wellbeing is: Stress Busting Booster.  This is a single 2-hour session aimed at those who want to learn how to handle stress at work and improve their productivity.

  • 2. Training:

    With the training I provide, emphasis is on quality, so I work with small groups of up to 5 employees. Training sessions last for 2.5 hours and focus on providing real solutions.  These sessions are ideal for small groups of managers.  I offer the following workshops:
    Stress management:  What is stress; what does your stress look like; how to handle the stress reaction; notice it/name it/neutralise it.
    Enhancing Resilience: What is resilience; accepting reality; life is meaningful; psychological flexibility; resilience plan
    Introduction to Mental Health:  What is mental health; what is mental ill-health; stigma; help – prevention or prescription

    COST: A 2.5 hour training session for 5 people is £300

    3. Bespoke solutions:

    Sometimes an issue involving mental health at work might require some very specific input.  I work with employers to clarify and understand their needs regarding wellbeing issues at work, and then help by providing a solution.  These bespoke solutions are ideal when helping with issues such as absence, sickness or behaviour issues.  Rather than following the disciplinary route, the employer can choose to support the individual, ultimately saving time and unnecessary expense.

    The cost of bespoke solutions can be variable – a quote is provided after discussing the issue.

 

Coaching for Women:

I have a specialist interest in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of women – especially in providing self-esteem and confidence coaching.

Within this coaching, I support individuals on a one-to-one basis and use a pragmatic and focused approach.  I spend time helping women to understand their feelings of unworthiness and teach them how to stop feeling like a fraud. Ultimately I help support them in moving away from self-limiting beliefs and empower them to stop battling with themselves.The one-to-one coaching sessions last one hour, and usually take place on a weekly basis.

If weekly sessions don’t work for you, then I offer a 2-hr Booster Session to enhance mental health and wellbeing.  The current Booster Session in Women’s Coaching is: Boost Your Confidence.  This single, targeted session aims to look at ways of enhancing individual confidence and self-esteem at home and within the workplace.

Mental Health Coaching:

Within the mental health coaching I offer, I bring a common sense approach and professional skill to help individuals overcome problems such as: overwhelming stress and work/life balance; loss of purpose; feelings of anxiety and worry; persistent negative thinking and issues with emotional barriers such as low mood, anger and fear.

The goal of this coaching is to empower individuals to overcome any mental health difficulties they might be facing.  Within the coaching process, the aim is to find workable solutions rather than looking for a magic cure.  Ultimately, I help individuals to take ownership of their difficulties and develop the skills to manage their own unique situation.

Mental health coaching usually takes place on a weekly basis. But if this doesn’t work for you, I offer Booster Sessions which provide targeted help during a single 2-hr session.  The current Booster Session being offered is:  Mental Health MOT.  This session can help anyone who feels they need to improve their mental health by identifying individual areas of concern, and providing the skills to promote wellbeing on a day-to-day basis
